Expressions of interest for Early Years Practitioners Museum and Heritage Award

Our early years programmes have gone from strength to strength over the last few years and building upon the success of GO Baby for 0-2’s, in 2015 we launched GO Explorers for 2-4’s and their families.
We have welcomed and sustained a new audience of over 2,000 new families to the gallery through the programmes which were recently nominated for two national awards.

This comes at an exciting time for Gallery Oldham as we are delighted to begin work on our new Heritage and Arts Centre.
To support us in this expanding programme, we are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner to the team to develop and deliver our GO Baby and GO Explorer sessions centred around both our permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. As the development takes shape over the next few years, part of this new role we will be to take programmes out into our communities and consulting with families to help shape our future work.

Experience of devising, developing and delivering creative programmes for 0-4’s within a museum or gallery setting is essential, as is a firm knowledge of early years education and best practice within the sector. Experience of working in outreach, community settings and outdoor learning is also desirable.

GO Baby takes place every Thursday morning in term time, 10.30am-12.00pm and GO Explorers takes place every Friday morning in term time, 10.30-11.30am.

£100 per session, plus materials provided by Gallery Oldham.
