Online Talks

Curator Talks via Zoom

Have you always fancied learning a little more about the history of Oldham or Natural History? Have you spotted our monthly gallery talks and tours in the past but haven’t had the opportunity to take part?

We have the perfect solution. Join our new live talks from the comfort of your own home, guided by our expert curators, find out stories from the past and learn about our amazing art, social history and natural history collections! There’ll be a chance to ask questions at the end.

Each month there’ll be a new topic to explore; by taking part you’ll be supporting your local heritage and cultural sector. Talks are free, informal and last around 30 minutes with time for discussion afterwards.

Brick by Brick | 2pm | Thursday 22 July 2021

Join curator Sean Baggaley as we take a look at the amazing artwork in our latest exhibition Brick by Brick which gathers the work of 18 artists, designers and photographers from around the world who use LEGO® bricks as their medium or inspiration. Using this simple plastic construction block as their starting point, they have created stunning, thought provoking and often humorous artworks which will appeal to art enthusiasts and LEGO® fans alike.

This talk is free and delivered over Zoom. You will be sent the link to join a few days before the talk is scheduled to take place.
