Light Up Lockdown
Let’s bring some light to Lockdown this February half term. We’ve created a whole week of activities to brighten up the holiday.
Light Photography with Tim Simpson.
Light Painting is a fun photographic technique that all the family can enjoy. Anyone can create their own art using light sources found around the home. You’ll need a dark space which will become your 3D canvas, a light source such as a torch and a camera. Smartphones work just as well if you don’t have a camera.
Take a look at the film below to learn the basics.
Gran’s Journey to the Moon! Shadow Puppetry with Frolicked Outdoor Theatre
Gran has made a little shadow puppet show for you and is revealing her behind the scenes secrets of how she made the puppets and set up the shadow puppet theatre at the bottom of the stairs… Watch the film.
Download Gran’s puppets or draw your own characters to tell your own story of a fantastical journey YOU would like to make!
Jam Jar Tealight Holders
Create some Jam Jar Tealight Holders with our very own Dee Ould-Okojie. She’ll guide you through each step to make your own glow in the dark Jam Jar. Watch the film, print off her how-to-guide or visit our step-by-step webpage.
