Get Growing at the Gallery

Our regular visitors may have noticed lots of activities in our garden space this summer,
since July we have been joined by Hulme Community Garden Centre and Green Monster Arts to help us and our visitors learn new skills all about gardening!

We’ve had lots of activities so far from Mini beast hotels, vegetable printing, herb tasting, label designing and lots more! All of our visitors, young and old, have had a brilliant time experimenting with different plants, creative activities with natural materials and learning about the world around them.

Luckily, there’s still lots more activities for you to join in with:

Sat 5 September: 12 – 4 pm
Birds and Bees! Make fun flowerpot creations and bird feeders to take home.

Sat 3 October: 12 -4 pm
Make jaunty junk flower sculptures and learn how to bring bright colours into your garden.

Mon 26 October: 1 – 4pm
Help us to press local apples, slurp the fruits of your labour and make a crazy edible animal to take home.

Wed 28 October: 1 – 4pm
Celebration event – Make and taste great herbal teas, make an autumnal crown and take a grass head troll home as a new pet!

All of the activities are free and drop in.

The Get Growing at the Gallery project is kindly funded and supported by the Respect Our Community Awards.
