National Play Day

This year more than ever we all need to be more playful, join our early years special this National Play Day and explore your senses in our sensory room, watch a wonderful performance by the talented actors from Oldham Theatre Workshop, join in a special summer themed Rhyme Time and take part in an artist led session all specially designed for under 5’s and their families!

All activities have been designed with visitors and staff safety in mind, numbers are extremely limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Hunt For The Giggle
Join your two favourite characters Jackson and Squiggle as they explore the colourful delights of the seaside and Hunt For The Giggle. Perfect for 5’s and under their families.

Summer Rhyme Time –
Enjoy songs and rhymes, sensory play and musical instruments in this special Summer themed bumps and babies rhyme time. Get together with other parents and carers and explore the senses, play and learn with your baby.

Ideal for bumps and babies aged up to 18 months. These relaxed sessions are a perfect way to slowly introduce babies into library spaces again.

Pennine Prospects –
Explore nature and create your own worlds as part of the Pennine Prospects, South Pennines projects. Work with artist Ammie Flexen to explore your surroundings and be creative with nature.

Sensory Room
Explore lights, colours, sound and movement in our wonderful sensory room for FREE this National Play Day, our sensory room is the perfect place for all ages to explore with light up touch walls, colour changing infinity tunnels and bubbles.
