We have a huge range of activities for families, individuals, artists, young people and everyone else who visits Gallery Oldham.

For Kids and Families we have a fun mix of events for families during all school holidays, our monthly Super Saturdays and weekly Go Baby and GO Explorer sessions. Plus the Small Cinema showing family friendly films.

For Young People we have a variety of creative activities, workshops and sessions to develop your skills. We also deliver and support Arts Award.

For adults we offer a range of informative art and craft courses, and group workshops that are suitable for all levels of ability.

Our free talks are informal and last around 40 minutes with time for a discussion and questions afterwards, some are onsite and others are online. Talks are given by gallery staff or guest speakers. All onsite talks are drop in, no need to book. Please ensure that you reserve your place on our online talks.

Join our natural history curator Patricia Francis onsite to hear more about seabirds and why they feature in Oldham Stories.

Join an online talk by artist, Zarah Hussain, whose exhibition, Light Upon Light, is on display at Gallery Oldham until 14 May

Join Landscape Inside Out artists, Liz Ackerley and Hugh Winterbottom, for an online talk exploring their studios and how they create work in the landscape.

Saturday 2 July 2022, 2pm 

Join artist Diana Terry onsite for a talk exploring the artworks in her Land Marks exhibition. Talk will be BSL signed

Wednesday 7 September, 2pm

Our curator Karen Heatley takes a closer look onsite at some of the social history items in our Oldham Stories exhibition

Wednesday 12 October, 2pm 

Join author Michael Turner onsite for a talk about the Rugby League World Cup.

Small cinema

Small Cinema

Join us every month to enjoy a range of family friendly movies. Tickets are £3. Join us for fun film-related crafts before each movie. Activities are FREE and run from 12noon – 2pm.
