Early Years Adventure – Storytelling Festival

During lockdown we have really missed all of our families who come to play with us on a weekly basis at GO Baby and GO Explorers.

We adore having mini art explorers in the gallery and can’t wait to welcome everybody back when it is safe to do so. In the meantime we have some brilliant news to share with you all.

Over the past four weeks, the wonderful Oldham Theatre Workshop have been sharing new videos and activities as part of Oldham’s first Digital Storytelling Festival. With stories like the Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Hunt for the Giggle and The Gingerbread man read by local famous Oldhamers what’s not to love.

You might also recognise a couple of familiar faces from GO Baby and GO Explorers if you’re regular attendees. Our very own practitioners Kirsty and Jenny also took part in creating four arts activities inspired by the stories.
They’re the perfect excuse to start creating, listening and reading together and fun for all members of the family to get involved.

Originally the stories were going to be available for just the four weeks, but we are delighted that you have all loved them so much they’re staying up for the forseeable future!

We would love to see what you make and create inspired by the stories, whether that’s just enjoying watching the videos or making your own Gingerbread men with Kirsty. Please let us know and tag us in any pictures from your activites inspired by the Storytelling Festival.
