NEXTWAVEARTS –

NEXTWAVEARTS is the new micro-commission programme from Gallery Oldham and Oldham Arts Development team. We know that Covid-19 has impacted the world in many ways we couldn’t have ever dreamt of. And we’re also aware of how hard this has affected young people across the globe.

The NEXTWAVEARTS programme is a way to support young people based in Oldham through small funding pots which support the development of new work. We are looking for ten young people, aged 17 – 25, in Oldham to create new works of art inspired by our art collection. This can be in any format from painting to drama, song writing to spoken word and dance – we want to hear from you.

If selected for one of the commissions you will also receive support from staff at Gallery Oldham and Oldham Arts Development, four Q&A opportunities with mid-career artists, showcasing the work on Gallery Oldham’s social media channels & creating a network of emerging artists.
